Co-Curricular
At St Joseph’s Catholic School, we believe that learning doesn’t stop at the classroom door. Our co-curricular programs offer students the chance to explore their interests, develop new skills, and take part in the wider life of the school.
These opportunities help students grow as confident and capable learners while also encouraging teamwork, leadership, creativity, and service. Co-curricular activities sit alongside our academic program, supporting the development of the whole child.
Students at St Joseph’s are encouraged to take part in a wide range of activities, including:
• Sport – Students have the opportunity to take part in a wide range of sporting events, including interschool carnivals, regional trials, and friendly competitions.
• Performing arts – Creativity is encouraged through involvement in Rock Pop, choir, and school performances. These experiences help build confidence, self-expression, and a sense of pride in sharing talents with others.
• Faith and service – Students live out the Gospel values through Mini Vinnies, Spirit in Action, school liturgies, and community outreach. These programs help students develop empathy, leadership, and a genuine commitment to making a difference.
• Cultural activities – Students engage in a variety of experiences that celebrate culture and identity, including NAIDOC Week events, art exhibitions, and participation in local festivals. These activities promote respect, inclusion, and connection to the broader community.
These experiences reflect our school values—Love, Lead, Strive, Serve—and help students build strong connections with each other and the wider community.
