St Joseph's Catholic School recognises the traditional owners of the area, the Mitakoodi People.
St. Joseph’s Catholic School Cloncurry has a rich history and continues to be an important part of the life of the local community. Our school was the last school St. Mary MacKillop founded before she passed away and so the Sisters who were nursing her during her ill health were released to begin the Parish and School in Cloncurry.
Our school community is still very much guided by the value of service to others passed down from St Mary MacKillop and the Josephite Sisters as we endeavour to “Never see a need without doing something about it”.
We are committed to providing a safe and inclusive learning and teaching environment in which we invite community members to be actively involved in the life of our school.
Our school exists to provide a high quality Catholic education from Prep to Year 9 and we stress that all are welcome at our school. We enjoy close relationships with the wider Cloncurry community and understand that in our context it is imperative for school and community to work together to do the best we can for each other.
At St Joseph’s we have outstanding staff who are all committed to developing right relationships with community members and in continually developing high quality classroom practice which best meets the needs of each of our students.
We look forward to being partners in your child’s education and I invite you to contact us to arrange school tours and for all enrolment enquiries.
I look forward to meeting you soon.
